Mechanical Access Fittings

Protective Covers are designed to protect the external ACME threads of Access Fitting from mechanical and enviromental damage. This thread is specially important because it is the main connection for the use of the Retrieval Tool Kit used to retrieve and install the monitoring devices.
Pressure Retaining Cover for Coupon
Pressure Retaining Cover for Coupon is designed as a secondary safety containment in case a seal in the Access Fitting develops a leak. It is usually used with Access Fitting having Solid Plug with Coupon Holder or Injection/Sampling equipment as monitoring device.

The Access System allows safe and easy insertion and retrieval of corrosion monitoring devices by means of the Mechanical Retrieval Tool Kit and may be installed under full operating pressure with the use of the Hot Tap Tool Kit and can be mounted at any position of the pipeline that local operating conditions permit.
The Mechanical Access System is the traditional and more economical main assembly that allows the connection with the pipelines and vessels. The assembly is composed by a Mechanical Access Fitting, a Solid or Hollow Plug and a Heavy Duty Cover or Pressure Retaining Cover. The components will depend on the applicable device: Weigth Loss & Special Coupons, Probes or Chemical Injection & Sampling Tubes.
